- Workers:
Downtown Cleveland has the eighth largest downtown labor force in the nation
and is the largest employment center in the region with more than 147,500
workers daily. The average weekly office workers retail expenditures in
2004 were $130, reported by ICSC research.
- Visitors:
15.8 million people visit downtown events and attractions each year.
- Residents: Downtown
Cleveland is the fastest growing neighborhood in the City of Cleveland.
Downtown has a young, affluent and growing residential community, totaling
over 8,000 people. The average age of residents is 36 with
the median annual income nearly $74,000.

planned, or are now under construction, in downtown. There are currently
400 units for sale, and 4,700 more units
for rent.

2003 Cuyahoga County had 35,122 students enrolled in four-year
colleges or graduate schools with an additional 25,258
students enrolled in two-year colleges, (Peterson’s). The national
average of weekly retail college student expenditures not including board
in 2001 was $45, according to the University of Kentucky’s retail
market analysis.
