Detroit Shoreway offers a wide variety of activities to satisfy the needs and interests of many. Our claim to fame rests in the unique combination of arts and entertainment opportunities, antique shops, and historic architecture. Many businesses have called the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood home for a long time. Within walking distance of Lake Erie and seven minutes from Downtown Cleveland, the area is home to Cleveland Public Theater, the Lorain Avenue Antiques District, and several designated historic districts.

AREA ASSETS:

Location: access to major highways including I-90 and Route 2; minutes from Lake Erie and Downtown Cleveland.
Well connected to public transportation with a new Regional Transit Authority station being built on Lorain Avenue at West 61st Street.

Current Retail Stores in the Trade Area: There is a curious mix of antique and collectibles shops for those who love to browse. The neighborhood also has a few culturally focused restaurants including one featuring Vietnamese fare. The neighborhood is also home to a number of long-standing home improvement businesses.
